Leo en un concierto de Jazz/Leo in a Jazz Concert

“Intimidades” fue el nombre del concierto de jazz ofrecido este jueves por el grupo Cauce, dirigido por Yadasni Portillo en el Teatro del Museo de Bellas Artes de La Habana. Leo facilitó dos de sus características lámparas para brindarle una atmósfera apropiada al evento. 

El concierto fue, sin dudas, un gran derroche de talento, virtuosismo y mucho corazón, donde –según palabras de su director- todos son solistas y todos se acompañan. Temas memorables como Yohanita, Reconciliación, En 6x4, Extraña Noche, Lawton Street o Para José, compuestos por su director, dejaron una huella imborrable en aquellos afortunados que tuvimos la suerte de presenciar tal extraordinario acontecimiento. 

La noche también contó con la singular y agradecida presencia del cantante cubano Leo Vera que, acompañado por la agrupación, interpretó tres temas de su repertorio habitual. En el futuro Leo D´Lázaro será quien decore, de acuerdo a las características del género y la tónica de las presentaciones de este joven grupo, todos sus conciertos.

“Intimacies” was the name of the jazz concert performed this Thursday, March 22th by the new group Cauce, directed by the young pianist and Cuban composer Yadasni Portillo at the Theater of Havana Museum of Fine Arts. Leo D´Lázaro facilitated two of his characteristic lamps to produce an appropriate atmosphere to the event, designed in bristol board and wood using fragments of the trunk of a tree as a base. The concert was -undoubtedly- a great talent sample, virtuosity and a lot of heart, where -in his director's words- all are soloists and all are accompanists. Memorable songs as Yohanita, Reconciliation, In 6x4, Strange Night, Lawton Street or To José, composed by the group´s director, left an indelible print in those fortunate ones who had the luck to witness such an extraordinary event. The night also had the singular and grateful presence of the Cuban singer Leo Vera who, accompanied by the group, interpreted three songs of his habitual repertoire. In the future Leo D´Lázaro will be who decorate all Cauce concerts, according to the characteristics of the group´s presentations.
