Del Lienzo al muro/From a canvas to a mural

Por estos días Leo está inmerso en la revitalización de los muros exteriores de El Ojo del Ciclón. La llegada de Tin Tin, joven pintor belga, lo iluminó para convertir las calles que rodean al Ojo en extensos murales. Un vecino ya se ha beneficiado pues Leo, inspirado en este cuadro (adjunto a este artículo, 60x40cm) creado tan solo unos días atrás a partir de su propio ojo, ha comenzado a decorar artísticamente su fachada. 
Este nuevo proyecto responde no solo a la necesidad de exteriorizar la Galería-Studio de Leo D´Lázaro hacia el barrio, los transeúntes y el ambiente circundante en un todo homogéneo y artístico sino también al hecho de que el espacio estará inmerso en la 11na Bienal de La Habana, a celebrarse en mayo, como proyecto colateral, cuyo tema es Prácticas Artísticas e Imaginarios Sociales. El evento aglutina a todos los artistas plásticos de la Isla y a múltiples invitados extranjeros que acuden motivados por la calidad y la maestría de las obras presentadas a lo largo de estos años.

In these days Leo is dedicated to renovate the external walls of The Eye of the Cyclone. The arrival of Tin Tin, as we said in the leading article of this publication, inspired him to convert the streets that surround The Eye in extensive murals. A neighbor has already benefitted because Leo, motivated by this painting (60x40cm) created some days ago based on his own eye, has begun to decorate his facade artistically. This new project responds to the necessity to exteriorize Leo D´Lázaro´s Gallery-Studio toward the surrounding atmosphere in an homogeneous and artistic conception, and because this space will be included in the 11th Biennial of Havana, which takes place in May, whose topic is Artistic Spaces and Social Imagineries. This event agglutinates all the visual artists of the Island and multiple foreign guests who arrive motivated by the qua- lity and the mastership of the art works presented along these years.
